Post Office Jam

http://www.pinkbike.com/news/aptos-best-trick-2010.html

So Keith is off to the Post Office Jam. I guess he'll be hanging out with Jack and some of his buds.
This should be one killer session as a lot of talent are in town - hopefully weather stays good.

I'm sure once Brandon gets a chance he'll post up results of Team Geronimo's results. They didn't do too badly considering its kind of like giant 4x course, and they beat some a few of the top guys so congrats to them. I managed to find Rob on Skype and he said it was definitely a good time and was great to meet all the people that showed up to take it all in.

Anyway if you are around ... go check out the Jam... it should be a really great time.

Keith + Esher Pump Track = carnage

Mythic / Banshee design engineer and co-owner Keith Scott paid a visit to Esher Shore's new "pump track" yesterday - its not open to the public but Keith came down to help myself (Rob C) and John (Jesus) Holme out with some digging...riding...and more digging..and riding!!

another pre-release "blurry" image courtesy of Photoshop...and Mr Steve Behr of "Stockfile" / MBUK magazine

Keith had the pleasure of using my Rampant (short) and John's AMP (long), and we had a wicked session, whilst being chased around the Pump Track by archie the dog!

whilst I was in the Freeborn Esher shop hooking a customer up with some tires, Keith decided to get very airbourne on my Rampant (it's that kind of bike...leads a rider to trouble) and took a harsh slam on a new section of the pump track we were cutting that day

I missed all the excitement, but came out the shop to find Keith a bit dazed and confused after landing head first on a new berm, my Rampant full of sand (stem bolts, maxle, pedals etc.) and John saying "wicked crash..."

as is normal, we missed getting the slam on video, or we would be sharing it with you right now, but John and I send healing vibes to Keith, and hope you are not too sore..

cheers and happy trails!

EDIT BY KEITH: I took a photo of the crater my head made in the berm... check it out ouuucchhhyyy my neck still hurts!

The Legendary Keith Scott

For the past week or so I was hanging out with Keith Scott. Keith is Banshee’s Engineer, an avid mountain biker and an all around good guy. For the time that he was in Taiwan we were living together, working together, eating together ….  you get the idea. I think I got to know him a little bit and he probably got to know me a lot better than he wanted to.   IMG_7516 After spending four years with the Legend in design and testing Keith wanted to make sure there were no problems during production. He stopped by to hang out and take some measurements. The morning before flying back home a box of Legend rear triangles came out of heat treating. Keith set out to inspect them and I shadowed him with my camera.

Measure, test, talk, rinse repeat … Keith measured everything in that box and then started looking for random things to measure.

Not only has Jay relocated to Taiwan to watch over things, Keith comes for random visits to make sure things are just the way he wants them. For everyone who wants a Legend, I have spent the last week immersed in it. And these two have put everything into making this bike a race winning machine. If you do not believe me, get one, race one …

Keep riding,
