October Mix

Hey everyone. Just finished up a new edit, I finally went out and got my own camera after all the photographers and filmer's left town, which made it nearly impossible to get any content out there, Until now. I'm still learning a lot about settings and all that jazz but its a lot of fun to try capture what you imagine in your head.

Anyway here is the first edit. Second edit is already starting to tick in my head so stay tuned :)

This summer I have been working at Retallack Lodge, helping build B.C.'s first commercial back country mountain bike destination. Retallack is located near Nelson B.C. a town home to infamous trails, freeride stunts, riders, trail builders, hippies and wizards. We started on the building program in July and already Retallack boasts a 2000ft dh trail, and interpretative xc trail, Retallack Cedars, as well as a multitude of high alpine singletrack, and several of Riley Mcintosh's signature trail feature, the wooden roller coaster. I cant wait to let you guys know what we have built next year, until then check out this photo story from Garret Grove when he came to visit this summer.

Fogelsode Season 3 #1: Average School Day

Season three is here, with new episodes every two weeks!

For most of September, I found myself in a constant routine: load up my bike/gear at night, go to school in the morning, grab a burrito, and head straight over to Post Office for a little sundown sesh. Sometimes a bunch of people would be out there, other times it was just me. It never really mattered too much though, as any ride turned a stressful school day into a good day. I brought the camera out one day, and self filmed for this edit.

When Paul and Nic team up, the results tend to be quite special... paul is a young up and coming riding talent who mainly does slopestyle, but as you can see here also shreds on his Legend MkII. Paradox V2

The tried and tested Banshee Paradox is seeing some significant updates and improvements for 2012 with the release of the Paradox V2 to further improve the ride.

Most of the geometry remains the same, with the 16.9" chainstays for a fun lively feel, and low BB for superior cornering control. The head angle has been made slightly slacker for better high speed stability and confidence on steep descents, and combined with a new tapered head tube for greater fork compatibility.

Increased tire clearance at the chainstay is achieved by a new 1 piece forging which increased tire clearance at this location, improves lateral frame stiffness, and also allows for greater vertical compliance for vibration absorption when combined with the shock stop chainstay.

The high direct mount front derailleur improves derailleur tire clearance. The ISCG 05 mounts allow you to run any chainguide combo you wish. The 30.9mm seat post is compatible with all popular adjustable seat posts, and there are cable guides under the top tube for a seat post remote lever.

The new tapered head tube has a 1 1/8" zero stack top interface (44.0mm) and 1.5" traditional bottom interface (49.6mm) to make the frame compatible with all straight and tapered fork steerers. The zero stack top cup also allows the rider to lower the handle bar height further if desired regardless of what fork steerer is being used.


The Paradox V2 is a no nonsense 29er hardtail that is designed to put a massive grin on your face. If you don't believe me, then try and get a test ride to see just what this frame is capable of!

Bibi's Jump Jam

French Banshee rider Bibi hosted what looks like a great event on his ranch the other weekend. Keep an eye out on this kid... (He is the guy n the orange POC helmet riding the Amp).

Anyone who already owns one of the new Banshee Amp's knows how tight this little machine feels! This summer I was so relieved to build it up 2 days prior to the dual slalom event at CrankWorx. It felt so good the moment I got on it as I cat-walked out of my garage down the road and straight to the village to get some practice in on the fresh dual slalom course. I've never felt so cozy on a bike I've never ridden before which was ideal since the course was gnarly, but super fun, fast and flowy.

Since my initiation at the dual I've been hitting everything in my home town (Whistler), the Airdome, the dirt jumps, the local pump tracks, or crusing over to the beach you name it. One more think I should mention is how cool it was to have the frame arrive raw with no colour or stickers, they leave the creativity up to you with the included sticker package. Versatility of design and function!

This frame with definatly live up to its name~
