Trailer Park Boys ya gotta love it

Found this awesome site and thought i'd share it. www.tpbusa.com
Since I don't have cable I only ever saw a few episodes but thankfully this site has them all.
I should mention if you start watching these at work they better be ok with the "F" word or else you're gonna get in major crap.
Also just because this is a Canadian show, the people potrayed in it are only representative of a certain portion of the Canadian public.

Another from Alan and Chris

Just call me Poachie McPoach... got it off of the Auzzie distributors site www.xxiv.com.au
Make sure you also check out the Vandals site www.environmentalvandal.com

Banshee Brasil

I hope to go visit our distributor in Brasil. They've done a bunch of trail building and it looks like they get a lot of support from the media, like ESPN. I wish North America would get more interested and we'd get the TV coverage they do.
Anyway if anyone is planning a trip to Brasil let me know and I'll hook you up with Session contact info... they great guys and know all the good places to ride.
Heres a vid by the Junior DH sponsored Banshee rider Leofacio.

Oh and I know we spell it Brazil but in Brasil they spell it with an "s". If anyone knows why in Canada we spell it with a "Z" let me know cause it makes no sense to me.

The bar has been set...

Andrew Lee sent these in looking to grab one of the new Wildcards to test for us.

VID 1 and
VID 2

If you think you can do better... then send in your best riding footage for a chance to be a test rider of a pre-production wildcard.

Webpage issues...

Some of you may have noticed that our news section keeps losing articles. I have no freakin idea whats going on but I'm kinda pissed about it. Anyway we'll get it sorted and try to put up some new stuff... mostly because the only place I had that stuff archived was on the web server and that means I have to rewrite most of the stuff now - DAMN!

Looking for Guinea Pigs!

So me and Keith were kicking around the idea of getting just a regular no-name rider whose got some skills in the slopestyle discipline to test one of the Wildcards.

Of course we'll have guys like Grant Allen and a few other guys give us feedback in addition to our own in house test pilots [namely me and Keith], but we figured it'd be cool if we'd invite a couple of guys [oops did I say that... Girls too] who were decent riders to help us out for a few months.

Basically we'd give you a Wildcard to ride and you give us a little written report on what you thought, and how it performed in different riding conditions. We'll even do all the work by making it a questionare so all you really need to do is answer a few questions.
Whats in it for you?
Well you get to keep the bike.
You'll be the first to ride it before they're even sold.
and if ya got some mad skillz the exposure wouldn't be a bad thing.

The bike will have gone through machine destructive testing so its not about you trying to break it. It is about how do you think it feels and are there any improvements you could see us undertaking. For example we had a suggestion about changing the headtube angle a bit so as to help against having the front tire hit your feet when doing bar spins... not a big deal for someone with size 9, but some of you have big freaky feet.

So what we need from you is a video showing us that you would be the perfect Guinea Pig for the Wildcard... I don't care if your old, young, girl, guy, a monkey, stupid, stoned all the time, or from Uranus. I Don't need your age, sex or any of that shit... just your name and return email address - everyone gets an equal shot and thats why only your riding really matters.
Just email me with the info to ...info@bansheebikes.com..
Throw the vid up on youtube and give me the link. I'll check it out and if we like it we'll put it up for others to see. If there are a few really good ones we can't decide on then we'll put it to the people.
The vid doesn't have to be current but if you weren't throwing down 360s, 5years ago then ya might need to give me something you shot last summer.
Also I haven't decided how many pigs so just cause someone can ride better then you, it doesn't mean you don't have a shot...
If you're already spawnzerd then its not for you.... but will accept videos from Darren Berreclothe... but only from Bearclaw himself - I don't think Specialized will go for that tho.

The environment and bottled water

With the IPCC [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] ready to publish their report tomorrow I found an interesting article on the CBC news
Now I'm not a "tree hugger" by any stretch but I think anyone who mountain bikes has an intrinsic love of the outdoors and nature so I thought I'd chime in with this little tidbit of wisdom from one of our own well respected scientist.

Canadians wanting to do something about the environment can start by drinking tap water, environmentalist David Suzuki says.

"Everywhere I go across Canada, I insist I be given tap water when I get up to speak," Suzuki told CBC News on Thursday.

"I think in Canada it's absolutely disgusting that people are so uncertain about their water that we buy it, paying more for bottled water than we do for gasoline."
